The P620 is a standalone 6-channel RTD and resistance simulator. It is intended for system-level testing of process control systems, FADEC engine controllers, and other critical systems.
Each independent, isolated channel can simulate common RTD types and six decades of resistance range. It uses entirely solid-state simulation to eliminate transient errors associated with relay switching, and provides for monotonic resistance changes. Channels can operate from millivolts up to 10V and 20mA. Overload protection and channel error detection are included.
Any channel may be rerouted, under software control, to the front-panel calibration-check connector, allowing the board to be tested for calibration by a precision DVM without disturbing the connections to the equipment under test. The built-in self test provides an onboard ohmmeter, allowing loopback checking and fully automatic self-test.
Both USB and Ethernet interfaces are provided. Control is via text commands or through the internal web page server. Only a web browser is needed to exercise all P620 functions, but the simple ASCII command set facilitates integration into user programs.
Four versatile digital I/O ports are provided, each CMOS/TTL compatible and capable of driving relays or LEDs.
